- Talk title: What is RPM Fusion and why is it important for Fedora
- Abstract: RPM Fusion is a project closely related to Fedora that tries to do be central place where those things can be done that the Fedora project doesn't want to or can't do. That includes, but is not limited to providing RPM packages for Fedora and derivatives such as RHEL5/CentOS5, which currently is the main work area of RPM Fusion. This talk will give an overview of how RPM Fusion works, how it's related to Fedora and in which ways it cooperates with the Fedora project. It will further explain why the work RPM Fusion does is very important for Fedora and its users and how contributing to RPM Fusion can make Fedora more attractive for more Linux users.
- Bio: Thorsten Leemhuis is a and contributes to Fedora since its early days (e.g. 2003). He was the first FESCo chairmen that was not a Red Hat employee and was among those that helped getting EPEL and RPM Fusion running. He works as technical writer/journalist and lives in Hannover, Germany together with his girlfriend and three cats.
