I'm a contributor to Tarantool Database (http://tarantool.org). Tarantool is a general purpose database with MsgPack/JSON data format, ACID transactions, secondary indexes, master-master replication, multiple storage engines (persistent in-memory and on-disk) and flexible Lua and C/C++ stored procedures support. Our development process is fully open and source code is available under BSD-2-Clause license from https://github.com/tarantool/tarantool

I've been using Linux since RedHat 6.0. I have experience with RedHat/CentOS/Fedora, Debian/Ubuntu, SUSE, Gentoo, Slackware, Arch and even FreeBSD.

Please feel free to ask me questions about (with no particular order):

  • Open-source
  • System programming
  • Cross-platform development
  • Lua and LuaJIT
  • Databases design
  • RPM packaging and guidelines
  • DEB packaging and policies
  • Best practices used by various distribution
  • Continuous integration
  • Containers and virtualization
  • Linux administration

I can also assist you with meetup and conference organization on open-source topics in Moscow, Russia. Tarantool Team co-organized Lua WorkShop 2014, Lua Moscow, Tarantool Meetup, MMUG and other open-source events.
