Fedora in my life / Fedora en mi vida
My experiences in the GNU/Linux world dates back from 2006 when wasting my time on the internet I did a search about fireflies and I find "something" called Tuquito, after reading about it, I become so excited with the idea of have a totaly free OS, so I decide to try it, downloaded the LiveCD image, and after reading a long time, I finally can get it working at 100%
As we begin to delve into the wonders of this system, I discovered there are more distributions with diferent characteristics between each one, I read a lot about them and decided to try more, I tried Ubuntu, Mandriva, OpenSuse, Debian and other, but when I found Fedora I fell in love with its usability and stability, so I've been a constant user of this wonderfull distribution since Fedora 7, now is my day by day OS :)
Mi experiencia en el mundo GNU/Linux se remonta al año 2006 cuando perdiendo tiempo en internet realicé una búsqueda sobre luciérnagas y encontré algo llamado Tuquito, después de leer sobre el me emocionó la idea de poder tener un sistema operativo completamente libre, así que decidí probarlo, descargue el LiveCD y después de leer largas horas pude dejarlo funcionando al 100% en aquel entonces mi computadora de escritorio.
Al comenzar a adentrarme en las maravillas de este sistema, supe que había más distribuciones, cada una con diferentes características, leí mucho sobre ellas, y decidí probar varias de las mismas, intente con Ubuntu, Mandriva, OpenSuse, Debian y unas cuantas más, pero sin embargo, Fedora me enamoró con su usabilidad y estabilidad, así que desde Fedora 7 he sido usuario constante de esta maravillosa distribución, al punto de que ahora es mi SO de uso cotidiano :)

Recently, I joined the FreMedia program, hope I can help a lot of people within this iniciative, also I want to be a Fedora ambassador in a close future.
Recientemente me uní al programa FreMedia, espero poder ayudar a mucha gente con esta iniciativa, además espero convertirme en un embajador de Fedora en un futuro cercano.

- I'm developing on Fedora an application for my job written in Python, this application will integrate a Google Maps based geolocalization tool, processing data stored in a MySQL DB, with a Qt GUI. The Purpose of this app is to be free, multiplatform, and someday be used by a lot of SOS departments (police, firefighters, etc...) to provide control over the relief units, allocate these units to emergences, and monitoring them in order to provide efficient and real time quality services.
- Me encuentro desarrollando sobre Fedora una aplicación para mi trabajo escrita en Python, integrará geolocalización basada en Google Maps, procesamiento de datos alojados en un servidor MySQL, con una GUI Qt, cuyo propósito es ser libre, multiplataforma y algún día ser usada por varias corporaciones de auxilio (policía, bomberos, etc.) para proporcionar el control sobre las unidades de auxilio, la asignación de estas a emergencias y el seguimiento de las mismas con el fin de proveer servicios eficientes y de calidad en tiempo real.
