Introduction
This is an attempt to list some heuristics that we can evaluating our sites against. Think of it as a sanity checklist of standard tests that we can use to make sure that a website "works." Please add to this list - we'll discuss it at the next Websites meeting if there's time.
Screen size
- Minimum: 800x600
- We do not currently have a stylesheet for supporting mobile devices.
Browsers
- Firefox 2, 3
Accessibility
- Color-blind viewable?
- Is the HTML in an order that is screen-reader friendly?
- Are alt tags provided for all images?
- Is audio/video transcribed or captioned, or at least described?
